We are cruising to Cuba on January 5-10, 2019. We will be leaving from Tampa, Florida and stopping in Havana, Cuba & Cozumel, Mexico. Deposit for this trip is $50 per person and is due by July 18, 2018. Payment of $150 per person is due by September 7, 2018 and the remaining balance due by November 6, 2018. A $75 Visa can be purchased on board the ship and a passport is needed and valid for 6 months after travel. The Fort Valley State University Washington DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter would like to welcome you to our Blue & Gold Holiday Social on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 6 pm to 10 pm to recognize and to reflect on the year of service, giving, and the Wildcat Spirit. The location of the event will be held at Eagles Pointe Clubhouse, 16387 Kramer Estate Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22191. Tickets are $30 for a single person and $40 for a couple. The event attire is business casual. There will be live jazz music performing holiday melodies throughout the evening. A guest speaker will be announced at a later date.
Dinner will be served. There will be door prizes and give-a-ways. Tickets can be purchased by an alumni chapter member or online. There is a servicing fee to purchase tickets online. Since 1895, Fort Valley State University has empowered people to use education as a pathway to maximize their potential through invention, intellectual fulfillment, civic leadership, and meaningful careers. The Office of Alumni Relations introduced the establishment of The Fort Valley State University 1895 Society. It’s a way of honoring our founders and perpetuating a meaningful lifetime connection to our dear ole alma mater, Fort Valley State. The FVSU 1895 Society is established to celebrate the legacy of these pioneers. It is an opportunity for the graduating class, both undergraduate and graduate students, to express their generosity and foresight for next generation scholarships for students seeking an education that will benefit them for the rest of their life. In doing so, their names will be listed and printed as members of The FVSU 1895 Society and they will receive a blue and gold cord twist which can be worn as part of their academic attire during 2018 fall commencement.A minimum donation of $18.95 is required to be a member. In order for your name to be listed and printed in the 2018 fall commencement program as a member of The FVSU 1895 Society, your donation must be received by Friday, November 16, 2018.
