HBCU Alumni Alliance 5K Run/2K Walk

The largest race of its kind in the country will be held on Saturday, June 30th.We are TAKING OVER the ATL & DCIn Atlanta, the race will be at Piedmont Park and in Washington, DC, on the campus of Howard University, The MECCA. Both races start times are at 8 am. We are joining forces to raise funds for our schools by leveraging the full value of the Alumni Alliance. Together, we are here to educate the community, provide financial resources, offer volunteers, and work strategically with our community partners to make a measurable impact to address the following issues: health, hunger, and education. Your registration will go a long way in assisting Fort Valley State University in providing needed scholarship and financial assistance for our students. Whether you live in the ATL or DC or not in the metropolitan areas of these two cities, you are not obligated to run when you register. Any and all Wildcats, friends, family and/or coworkers can register on either site and select, "Fort Valley State University". Your registrations guarantees a portion of the monies raised will go towards our alumni chapters, into which, will go towards our alma mater. Registration fee is $35 in Atlanta and $45 in Washington, DC. Register Today & we hope to see the Royal Blue & Old Gold represented at both races!

Please join us for "A Wildcat Experience" Community Fun Day on Saturday, July 14th at 10am–5pm at Randolph Clayton's Field, Highway 15 South. There will be jumpers, waterslides, non-food vendors, FVSU paraphernalia, school supplies, give-away, door prizes, karaoke, horses & campers, tailgating and MUCH MORE! SHORT SYNOPSIS: After directing Children of a Lesser God on Broadway, Kenny Leon returns home to direct True Colors Theatre's Atlanta premiere of Dot by Colman Domingo. Dot uses comedy to depict one family’s reaction to an aging parent’s slide into dementia. The play follows Dotty, a mother who is struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, and her three children—Shelly, Donnie, and Averie—who are all figuring out how to deal with it in their own way.

The date for this trip is Thursday, October 11 thru Tuesday, October 16, 2018. The trip is for 6 days, 5 nights per person, double occupancy. You will get a guided tour of Washington DC including the WWII Memorial, Capitol Hill, Embassy Row, the Korean War, Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial and much more. The cost of the trip is $560.* There is a $75 due upon signing. *Price per person, based on double occupancy. The Omega Derby 2 Seersuckers & Parasols Edition will be held Saturday, June 23 at 6pm until Midnight at the Al Sihah Shrine Temple, 222 Mecca Drive Macon, GA 31216. Tickets are $35. The Omega Derby 2 Seersuckers and Parasols is expected to be one of the larger upscale outdoor/indoor events in Middle Ga. In 2017 our first year we sold over 400 tickets for this event. It was an amazing time and a unique experience in Macon, Ga. In 2018 we are partnering with Chapters from various cities in the surrounding area and we are expecting to sell over 800 tickets for this event. We see this event growing to well over 1500 people in the coming years. This event is structured to be an amazing experience that highlights the arts and culture while raising funds to build up the surrounding community. We will Feature a live band that plays the best music of yesterday and today. This event will also host a live DJ that spins and entertains the crowd during the band intermission and once the band retires for the night. We have indoor facilities for eating and additional entertainment opportunities. The indoor facility will have a local artist showcase of painted art, wine tasting and a poetry showcase. This event is set on an 85 acre RV park. The Band will set up with the lake as a back drop that creates a visually stunning atmosphere. The event will be promoted as the professional’s local escape. It will bring the feel of fun and excitement among mature professionals all enjoying the beauty of the location and the sounds of the band. FVSU Washington DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter Annual Golf Tourney

FVSU DC ANNUAL CHARITABLE GOLF TOURNEY. The Washington DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter of the Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. will be having their annual charitable golf tournament on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Pohick Bay Golf Course, Lorton, Virginia. This event continues to provide college scholarships and tuition assistance to deserving students, and to assist in sustaining the Chapter's community service programs in the Washington DC Metro area. Over the the past five years, the DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter has provided over $25,000 in support of scholarships and campus student activities, and other DC area community service projects. The chapter is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempted organization. Any amount of donation is welcomed. The chapter is seeking sponsors for this event. Sponsorship levels are available below.

SOUTH CENTRAL ALUMNI CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET.
The Scholarship Committee of The South Central Georgia Alumni Chapter of The Fort Valley State University is busy making plans for the 2nd Annual Scholarship Banquet. The Banquet will be on May 19, 2018 at The Onion Inn located at 2507 E. First Street in Vidalia, GA. The event will start at 6:00 pm. The guest speaker will be the President of Fort Valley State University, Dr. Paul Jones.

The South Central Georgia Alumni Chapter is composed of members from Appling, Bulloch, Candler, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins, Johnson, Montgomery, Tattnall, Telfair, Toombs, Treutlen and Wheeler Counties. Fort Valley State University Alumni organization’s mission is to connect and reconnect alumni with each other and with the university.

The FVSU FAVOR presents its First Annual Day Party on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2PM  until 8PM at the Chocolate Room, 3150 Highway 41 N Suite 2004, Centerville, GA. There will be live performances from "Sax Man" Damon Brown & DJ Shells. The entry fee is $15. There will be Wildcat Drink Specials & heavy hors d'oeuvres. 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit scholarships for FVSU Women's Athletics. If you are unable to attend, please, donate online through Facebook @FVSUFAVORFund or by clicking on the button below to the university website.
